Sony's EyePet hitting North America this year
The adorable EyePet, Sony's upcoming virtual pet for the PlayStation 3, will be coming out this year, and should be on store shelves in time for the holidays.
While a number of publishers have been pushing games out of the fourth quarter at an alarming rate, Sony has revealed that one of its more adorable projects will be hitting store shelves later this year. Though an exact release date hasn't been announced, the EyePet will be coming to North America sometime this holiday season.
Sony unveils virtual pet
EyePet is a virtual pet with technology that enables it to react to a gamer's every move. It features various capabilities, including PlayStation Eye, the next-generation camera for PS3, which captures an on-screen picture of the actual room EyePet is in. EyePet is fully aware of people in the room and will interact with them and the environment, according to Sony.
